After living in Paris for a month, my impression is that the French merely tolerate us tourists, instead of making us feel welcome. They're not all rude or unhelpful, and there are exceptions, but one really can't help feeling that one is merely being tolerated. Especially us Americans, there's no love or warmth for us. On a separate note, Paris needs some serious biohazard laws regarding the picking up and proper disposal of dog poo. NEVER WALK BETWEEN PARKED CARS ON THE STREET early in the morning before the street cleaners have swept. It's for your own good. Don't lean on streetside garbage bins, since it's a favourite spot for doggies to pee against. The most immaculately dressed Frenchwoman can be looking straight at you and smiling while you're both at opposite ends of the street waiting to cross the street, and her dog could be peeing right next to her, against the garbage bin near the traffic light.

I know where France is and I know the French "hate" Americans, other than that, they have good fries... LOL.
I really don't care what the French think of me because I was born here, I'm not like all Americans, neither are all French, French-people that are born in France. I keep politics out of how I deal with people whom I meet, if that is what you mean.

I think there ideas are more romantic than some countries.. I've met a few people and they have alot of daydreams and romantic views. I like that. The French language is musical, it's polite and passionate but never sounds rude.
France.. I think is.. not as strong as it could be.. it should be rated more highly as a tourist spot but maybe they don't like tourists?
I find the heart's of French people to be more noble than others.

i am english, live in the uk, have visited france so many times i have lost count, once you get to know people in france they are very friendly, but to start they are stand-offish, your political system, confuses us here, but the difference is monarchy here and you are a republic, which is why we do not understand french police allowing truckers to blockade the ports, you have many regional identities, breton, basque, catalan, alsation, and it is these that make france a wonerful country. but, i think you have to many other european nationalities live there, english, dutch, irish etc. so in essence a wonerful country, nice people, wonerful culture

Sebaxxx 62...
Can't speak english too much, I just send you a few kisses.

voila bon courage
bisous
