Any age. As early as 3-4 years old. Pretty much, as soon as a child can understand and follow instructions from an adult.

Ideally speaking, the right age is 7 years.By this age, children mature enough mentally and physically. Their body organs too are developed. Even if they want to pursue a career in dance, they get the proper span to learn, to develop, study all the major aspects of dance and start performing or conducting classes. The body is flexible at this age. To learn the dance as a hobby, one can start at any age. As long as you walk or move, you can definitely dance. Dance also help to stay healthy and fit.

I started to dance when I was 3 years old up until this very day. I think it is easier to start young so you grow with the form of dance you choose to do. I don't recommend doing more than 2 forms of dance with formal training, but its up to you.

As young as first walking but after that the sooner the better. You can learn to dance at almost any age but as you age you learn slower and more slower. Just learn correctly to avoid injuries.

any age you like! obviously you've got to be able to move and know what you're doing, so i'd say a minimum of 3, but over that, anything you like! even 80... 90... enjoy it and have fun!
of course, if you want to be professional, you need to start very early on, really about 3 or 4.
good luck and have fun!

i think 3 or 4 is a great age to start...make sure that youre not forcing your child to do it though, make sure theyre having fun with it or they're going to learn to hate it, no matter how good they are.
