No Doubt...If materrazi hadn't opened his mouth then France would have won...He's shown his character by releasing a book on the things he possibly said to ZZ...but all the while ZZ has maintained his integrity by not being a snitch 'bout it...but hey who's gonna be remembered in the hall of footballl....ZZ no doubt...

They could have because if henry could replace Trezguet and Zidane scores France wins But Zidane had to lose temper when Materazzi talked trash. Italians are so cheat. Look at the game with australia. they just walk around the 18 yd box and earns a penalty.

Of course! If Materazzi wouldn't open his big mouth and talked trash about Zizou, Zizou would have scored that penalty instead of Trezeguet (and made it of course), then France would have a bigger chance of winning the world cup. However, what's up with Barthez during the final match? He wasn't doing a very great job as usual...

Every Italian here would probably slap you in the face for even doubting their victory but the truth be told...if Materazzi hadn't done that and even just Zizou would be still in the game France would have won again. They were just better.

Very much! Zizou and henry are experienced players and probably they wouldn't have put the guy who missed the penalty in the shoot out in. they would have had more of a chance to win. but the french goal keeper couldent save ****. if they kept goin without zizou or henry the italian goalkeeper woulda saved one most likely.

Yeah definitely they could have won it, that's why the Italian's made a plan and provoked Zidane by abusing his family and he got wild and head butted Materazzi and as a result France was left out in the field without its star player and Italy won the Worldcup for the fourth time.

I think France could have won the world cup if the Zidan & Henry had the panalties, because they had a lote of experience and confidence level.

my team aint France.....but i believe France deserved to win....Italy won it ridiculously.....besides it was sooo boring seeing Italy win...i followed the whole tournament and i changed the channel when they won....they gave no feeling nor passion
