A lot of it is the mothering instinct. Not all women are like that though, there are some pretty thick-skinned women out there. If you say the wrong things though, anyone can get offended. The problem is how you come across. My husband can call me a b*tch and put in the right context, it's funny, part of playing with each other. Other times, other ways it would not be.
Also, if you push someone's buttons and they are tired of it, or what you are doing is getting old (don't beat a dead horse) then people can get bent out of shape about it. Funning is fine, just remember it's supposed to be fun, not a contest to see who can be more obnoxious and mean, poke the bear enough times you'll get bitten.

Yes,sometimes.The reason is that we are emotional,like one person said here,I believe any person can be offended easily.But I just ignore people if they are rude to me.See,it depends on the character of the person.

I think it is men and women but women are not afraid to show their emotions where men keep their emotions suppressed. Also it is hormones women are more sensitive.

lt is because we are emotional. We get carried away by our feelings. lf we are sad, we express it by crying. The same when we get hurt, as you say offended.
We are just expressing what we feel.

I don't think it has to do with gender myself. just certain people. And they are easily offended because they are sensitive, you are a jerk, or your perceptions are off.

It's estrogen, women are meant to be be sensitive in order to attend to babies' needs properly. You should be empathetic in return.
