w/chats, emails.....but you realized it was taking up too much of your time, so decided not to correspond anymore....but ended up missing them?

Yes - happened to me on several occasional with different people. I had to be strict with myself to stop using messengers.
I have met a couple of people from the net and I have to say I regretted it, they were not who I thought they were. I made a terrible mistake.

yea on more than one occasion. Sometimes you just gotta step back and tell yourself that you can only know so much about a person without being around them and that this person maybe be very very far away so you will never meet this person AND i'm sure that they havent stopped their life to talk to me, i shouldnt stop mine.

I met someone, a friend, over the internet, but one day he just stopped writing to me. I still miss him. It was nice to talk to someone just like that, you know!?
