NO EYELIDS - They have a transparent scale that covers and protects each eye.
Snakes sleep with their eyes open. Most snakes have very poor eye sight, and can only track the presence and movement of animals by their heat.

snakes have no eyelids but they do sleep. all animals sleep even sharks and goldfish. snakes have eyes, blind snakes and amphisbaenians have either small non-functioning or no eyes at all but they are not true snakes.

There are blind snake. One looks more like a worm. I think they all have vestigial eyes. ( Non functioning eyes)

Yes they do have eyes and yes they do sleep particularly if they get cold they then lay dormant to recharge their batteries.

they have no visible eyelids and they sleep when they close it but it seems open.
