A billion years from now, if nothing changes about the way we dispose of our dead, wouldn't we eventually cover the planet, one headstone at a time?

a zillion years from now, they'll be digging up a new lot to build, and find our graves.....just like we do our ancestors.

we are running out of places to put the bodies of the dead in some areas they stack the bodies 6 feet below and if we keep on having baby's at this rate write now we will be more worried about finding some were to live that isn't over 6 stories high without being a multitrillionare not taking into the mater of money value in the future

That's an interesting thought. I guess if no headstones were moved and people were buried instead of cremated then yea!It's possible I guess. But then there are natural disasters and plate tectonics etc which are continually changing the land so maybe not.....?

Nope. If you'll look at any major construction from the past you'll find that the builders steal such nicely shaped stones for there own purposes.And round and round we go...

dont worry with present global warming rate we wont have the time or the facilities to worry about that buy a boat and a water filter that works without power and hang on.

no. headstones are removed regularly, along with graves so the land can be used for housing.

After a while the bodys would decompose and they would replace those empty plots with newly deseased people.

That's why many cemeteries have changed their policies and many people have opted for alternative methods of disposing of their remains.
