Circle of life, kiddo.
1M years ago it wasn't so different. The education and jobs were different but it all came down to food, clothing and shelter.
We're here because that's what evolution is, change. We're one step on a never ending road (and not the yellow brick one either).
There are no large goals, only personal ones.
So figure out who you want to be and be it.

To make other people happy. I have gone through all of this and money does not bring happiness. Money is needed to pay bills, yes.
Excessive money is not needed. True enjoyment comes from giving of yourself to others. You can make a difference in the world by giving your time to others. Just as the saying goes - it is better to give than receive. There is a reason that you are here. One tiny good deed may change a persons life. Please try to stop the struggle and live your life, you may change a person into something better.
It is very easy to say - I don't want to be here. Wait until death comes knocking on your door. You will change your tune in a heart beat. I felt the same way until my heart attack. All you want to do is live. The human body wants to live, you want to live.
Make a difference in somebodies life and your life will change

In religion, it can be said God created you for a purpose.
What purpose? Well that's something you got to find out for yourself.
Basically, it is just pursuing what you are passionate about (possibly something that can distract you for a whole lifetime). Also, help out the less fortunate too. Some of them are having such a down life that they dont even have the time to think what is life all about (Probably more on the lines of why they live to suffer so much).
If you look at this question from a christian viewpoint, God meant for humans to rule together with him in the heavens when he created Adam(first man) in the garden of Eden. Unfortunatly Adam and Eve sinned against God, and thus they were cast out of paradise and lost their true destiny in life (which is to rule the cosmos.. yeah i know that sounds funny but its true). So the purpose of christians now is to help everyone attain salvation and redeem themselves so that their souls can go to heaven and continue on their true destiny (im not saying the Christian's role on Earth is insignificant, or rather the opposite and it paves the way for future. The more souls 'saved' the better). Christianity is a very large sphere is theology, im just trying to put it as basic as possible. You gotta do some research on your own if you wanna know more.
Hope you can understand what im trying to say

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

to gain as much wisdom and knowledge as possible and then teach what one has learned to others so the wisdom and knowledge will continue. hopefully this will help mankind be better off than when one first came here to this plane of existence. life is a learning process.

In order to know everything,
One must not know everything,
That is why one is here,
Not to know everything, but to live and learn.
The poem above is about purpose.
You make it seem as if you have no freedom. What you described is actually an illusion society has created. What do you love to do? So what is holding you back?
