what is your idea on this issue? i need people's ideas.

Life tenure with oversight/review is ideal. The judiciary should be independent of politics. They should be free to consider the law, and not political ramifications, in making decisions.

Just my opinion.....:)

Federal judges simply HAVE to be tenured.
If not how long do you think that they would last.
Dont vote for abortion or the death penalty and get kicked out the door.
I think people think that they make some HUGE salary.
They dont. $156,00 to $212,000. Which IS a alot of money but not compared to what others with those creditials are doing in the private sector.
THey should be able to at least count on the fact they can keep the job for as long as they want it.
There was a bill introduced by Feinstein a few years ago (2005?) that would have given judges a pay raise. Of course it never made it thru the muckety muck of congress but it will definitely come up again
