I use to read here years ago. Loved her books -- Frederica, Grand Sophie, These Old Shades and many more. Just wanyed to know if there were any Heyer fans out there and which of her books did you like the most. I loved the Talisman Ring.

I used also to read Heyer, and loved all her books. Sometimes I'd like something a bit swashbuckling like "Beauvallet"; then I'd like the more bittersweet ones like "Venetia" or "A Civil Contract"; then perhaps something lighter like "Cotillion". I loved the 18th century ones and, like you, "The Talisman Ring", which showed her exquisite humour.

I also liked her short stories; did try some of her detective novels, but wasn't so keen on them.

I only began reading her about two weeks ago. My library had three of her books. But I am in love with what I've read so far. Of the two I've read, my favorite so far is Friday's Child.
