I know I cant vote on everything which is why i say it like I do. I believe we should vote on EVERYTHING thats passed. Whats a fair democracy if not. I dont mean we make decisions direct but to at least be given a chance to give our views on what we can and cant do. I dont follow law to be honest and i am a lawbreaker. I run on my own set of morals. I contantly shift my morals depending on the world around me. That doesnt mean ill kill etc... it would take something drastic to change my moral for that. Drugs arnt wrong. Ppl are wrong to kill others. Laws passed without my at least knowing is wrong. The world doesnt revolve around me and my morals reflect the world around me. I want to know what Ill get arrested for for a start. you catch my drift.

However, nobody reads through all legislation as it is passed. There is far too much. Most of us read what applies to us. Happy reading, anyway!

Well Hansard would be a good place to start, it is the publication of the proceedings of Parliament.

The Department of constitutional Affairs has a list of recent legislation (link below).

You seem to be under a misapprehension about your voting rights. The United Kingdom population do not have a referendum on each individual piece of legislation unlike say Switzerland.

If you are over 18 years of age, and not in prison, (I think there are few other exceptions as well) you have the right to vote in parliamentary elections. This is your one and only chance to vote so use it! The party with the majority of seats after that election enacts law until the next election (which is a maximum of five years)

The laws are made by Parliament and we have voted for the MP's already and entrusted them with our opinions. Many of the new laws are coming from the European Parliament and once more our MEP's have been elected to look after our interests. That is why we should all vote when there is any kind of election.

Not in Australia, we have had the most draconian workplace laws introduced 6 months ago which we didn't vote for, we are beginning to look mlike a dictatorship, rather than a democracy.
