I received an ipod shuffle for christmas. I cannot get it working, should it have come with a disk?

Is there anyway of getting around it?

I have download itunes etc but when I plug the shuffle into the USB port my computer doesnt read the device??

Download iTunes. Just type download itunes into google.

mine didnt, i dont think they come with the disks anymore..i went to the website and downloaded itunes...try that
