Yeah, but you have no eyes. Considering the long history of humankind, women have only just started being treated equally, so the history of creative women is relatively short.

I would say that traditionally men have had more time than women, as the societies have treated women like second class citizens.
you got two people, a man, and a woman.
one is expected to do all the chores, the cooking, the cleaning.
the other works a set time on a job, and has "days off"
who do you think has more time to do something?
who was able to get the financing to make their invention work?
I'll tell you what
listen to your freinds tell a story.
who's stories are better? then mens or the womens?
i'd' have to say that men and women are creative in different ways.
men in general are more mechanical minded. men and their toys as the saying goes.
my wife for instance, can cook in the most creative ways,
decorates the house, blending elements that had no connection to me.
and thats not all fluff either.
I mean, do you want to sit in a house that is dull like a jail cell, eating oatmeal for every meal?
those bits of creativity deal directly with happiness.
and what of children?
women in general are better at dealing with kids.
entertaining, and teaching our generations.
too, think of all the million songs that a mom makes up for their child, just to play, or sooth.
and answering the Why questions.
those all take large quanities of creativity.
The point in short is,
men in history have had more time on their hands,
and men and women have different creative strenghts.
and I think the proportions are not as gapped as you may think.
and I am a guy btw.

Sleepy is correct. We have suppressed women throughout history. The majority of the planet still does, even the U.S. to some extent. You will find, if you study deeply enough, that women are generally more intelligent than men and far more creative when given the opportunity. I further think that if you will look at the successful men in history, there is a woman in the background providing him with ideas and inspiration. Think about it instead of resorting to generalities.

the most creative people i know are women. i'm a man and my guy friends are not at all creative. i think the only reason men were so creative back in the day is that women were subjected to being housewifes and did not have the opportunities to test out there creativity in the world like all the great inventors. even if they did women's ideas were not accepted back in the day so it would have been a man taking credit for it.

I don't believe men are more creative, I believe some men are. As for the songs and inventions...couldn't it be that even in our oh so feminist society, women are still not afforded the opportunities that men are.
