My doctor told me I had to stop shaving, something about how african-american hair grows back, I should have listened I guess.

Well, like the title, its a semi-large bump on the upper vulva, I'm not worried about an std sinse I have had no partners. Before, the bumps I got, I could squeeze out the puss and it would disappear in a couple of days.

I can press down on it real hard with little pain. When I squeeze it, some liquidy stuff comes out. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it something to be cautious about.

IT SOUNDS LIKE AN INGROWN HAIR. I GET THOSE OFTEN AND I AM NOT AFRICAN -AMERICAN. MY HAIRS ARE PRETTY THIN, BUT THEY GROW INSIDE NO MATTER IF I TWEEZE OF SHAVE THEM. I USE A NEEDLE. CLEAN IT FIRST(RUBBING ALCOHOL, FLAME ETC), IF U SEE A LITTLE HOLE ON THE BUMP(USUALLY RIGHT WHERE THE LIQUID COMES OUT) USE THAT HOLE, PUT CAREFULLY THE NEEDLE IN IT. THERE'S SOMETIMES A DEEPER LIKE A RESERVOIR WITH THE PUSS AND WHEN U STICK THE NEEDLE IT BREAKS AND YOU CAN SQEEZE EVERYTHING BETTER AND IT'S NOT THAT PAINFUL. THEN TRY TO TAKE OUT THE HAIR USING THE NEEDLE AGAIN AND ONCE IT'S OUT- TWEEZE IT. DON'T FORGET TO DISINFECT THE AREA BEFORE AND AFTER. PUT SOME ANTIBIOTIC CREME AND A BANDAGE.

Your doctor gave you sound advice and you should follow it. Stop shaving the area for a few days. Apply a mild antiseptic in the affected area. Dont try to remove the pus by pinching the boil. Clean any discharge of pus from the boil with clean surgical cotton. It should go away by itself in a few days time. Monitor the boil carefully daily. If you dont see any sign of its disppearance, consult the doctor again. Keep your pubic hair trimmed with scissors, do not shave it, if you dont want recurrence of this.

It's most likely an ingrown.

If you don't like your hair there, you already know you're not gonna let it grow back. I suggest that you purchase a pair of good tweezers and just monitor how your hair regrows. If you see a hair growing under your skin, pick it out. It should be fine after that.
