my hubby was always really affectionate with his cat (not in a yucky way) which i used to think was really sweet - now it drives me nuts, stupid ball of fur gets more attention than i do!

In my case, I am talking about my boyfriend. I used to think it was really cute that he always listened to his mom and did what she wanted. From what I hear, that's supposed to mean he will respect me. All I know is that it's starting to really irritate me. He continues to blow off things we planned to do if his mom calls to make a last minute plan. It's really frustrating. I have a feeling that I'm going to live with Raymond and his mom Marie if we stay together.

How he was sooo sensitive. Now I can't handle it. Buck up and get a freakin backbone. I don't want to talk about feelings anymore. It's the complete opposite of my ex. I used to think I wanted someone to spend so much time with, be sensitive, and all that jazz. No way it's suffocating me. Careful what you wish for you might just get it.

Hockey (this fellow is now my ex)... hockey ALL the TIME. It used to be cute... he and his buddies and game night. They were polite, and conscientious, and Oh! so grateful for the chance to watch the big screen. Then the masks came off. The locker room turned into my living room. Hockey pools ruled my world. A banner (think: over sized towel) became the living room curtains. During play-offs, billboards materialized on the lawn.

I gave him the TV... and the living room curtains. I kept the banner. *grin*

Sounds icky. Not that he's icky with the cat, but it's not very masculine of him to pay more attention to the cat than you. What a horrible turnoff.

your communication is intermittent. your hubby still feels that you appreciate him for the affection he bestows on the cat. communicate you changed preference to him and you may become the object of his affection. Maybe he is waiting for this input from you.
