Personally Dave if you are worried about been ripped off why not do the work yourself .I did my own work when I was able stripped engines &gearboxes rebuilt the lot .I miss all that due to bad health and Iam only 46!!.Cant lift anything now sadly lucky to walk now .Cheers Dave think it over .

You just have to ask people locally and it usually helps to keep on good terms with one, but always check the results (eg by asking to see the old parts).
I think they are all about the same level of trust (ie. you are responsible for checking that the work has been done)
