My husband works with a guy who calls everyone DUDE. After 3 or 4 hours, it kind of gets annoying. It is somewhat disrespectful. Think about dude, i mean, come on dude, get over it dude, i can't believe this piece won't go in dude, see what i mean dude..........
it gets some what annoying after a bit.

I think dude is ok. Are you jealous of their status? You can't be jealous of people, you can only laugh off their remarks, let it all roll down your back. It sounds like maybe they are under age 21, and immature. Am I right? If they are over age 21, I'd be surprised. I know I said "dude" all the time around age 19-21.

i dont think you should feel insulted when a person is calling you dude...Dude is like freind...it has no connection if you are good for nothing...take a chill pill mate..

umm wow, if that's how you feel when someone simply calls you 'dude', you are REALLY sensitive. it's just a habit a lot of people are used to saying in a sentence when talking with ANYONE.
