My guess: The ice melts, it doesn't corrode from acid.

Lemonade has a much higher concentration of acid, yet ice doesn't melt any faster in a glass of lemonade.

Ice has a melting point of 32° F. It always melts when subjected to temperatures above 32° F. The water, in liquid form, would dilute the acid. Ice in a glass of soda would melt due to the warmer temperature in the glass. It doesn't corrode from the acid. Citric acid is not very corrosive at the in the levels you'll find in a can of soda.

Imagine this panorama
Empty glass
Ice poured ice
<>
Coke is poured
<< A liquid at room temperature covering a solid at freezing point>>
The process of evaporation keeps going and the ice melts

Ice is water at freezing point, waters pH is 7,neutral
Therefore it does not react with the pH of the coke that is acidic therefore not causing any "burn" effect
hope it helps

The ice melts from the lower temperature of the Coke.

It works the same way on all drinks. Even water, which does not have the acid in it.

Acid doesn't burn water. Water can dilute acid through hydrogen bonding. The ice will melt due to room temperatures.

The Ice would melt because of the carbonation and the energy of heat from the soda ! The carbonation produces energy which equals heat which melts the ice !
I hope that helps !

no, it just melts, the water from the ice will dilute the acid, tho. acid affects things like metal, and protiens, but not really water, the water has more of an effect on the acid, than vice-versa

i'm going to answer your query, in comparison to those above me. If the panel on your laptop is >32F, then definite, of direction ice cubes will cool it down. for sure those different answerers no not something approximately "warmth pass". positioned merely, in case you have 2 structures (your laptop, and the ice cubes), warmth will bypass from the hotter to the cooler section till "thermal equilibrium" (each and every thing the comparable temperature) is reached. So definite, ice cubes will maximum relatively make the panel cooler.
