I chose shikamaru and temari.. temari has strength while shikamaru has intelligence. Although temari is not that good in fighting (i think, but i wonder how she'd become a jounin in the second part of naruto), they're combination is great...

However, with regards to love affairs, i prefer shika*ino coz they make a cute couple..

I think that Shikamaru and Temari because they both kind of have a no care attitude (Shikamaru more then Temari) and in a way their sort of the leader of their group. Plus they both have good fighting styles even though at first you wouldn't really think that either of their styles are very good not to mention their battle was really close.

Shikamaru & Ino, absolutely.

there might be an attraction between Shikamaru & Temari, but i can't see it sustaining long-term. She is from the Sand, while he is from Kohona . . . both are too valuable for either of their villages to lose. also, you can't discount the relationship between Shikamauu & Ino.

people make a big deal about hoe poorly Ino treated Dhaikamaru before the time skip, but her attraction to Sasuke started when she was very young, which makes sense considering that she probably grew up with Shikamaru from an extremely young age, considering the relationship between their fathers.

in my opinion the only reason Ino maintained her interest in Sasuke is because of Sakura's betrayal of their friendship over him & i think Shikamaru with his high IQ has always realized that.

losing Asuma is only going to bring their realtionship even closer.

I say Shikamaru and Ino. Both of them can understand each other and although they hate each other guts, they tend to patch up together really quickly. The manga and anime is very different. In the anime, they show hints on Shikamaru and Ino whereas in the manga, they show Shikamaru and Temari. Which is which? Hah. I don't know.. (:
