With my first, I didn't feel it until about 21 weeks. My second and third were both at just under 20 weeks.... but that's because I knew what to feel for.

Here's the trick my sister taught me. Early when you wake up some morning, don't move around a lot... move slowly onto your side and pull your knees slowly up so you're in a comfortable "fetal" position... breathe deeply... almost like you're going back to sleep.... and just lie still... no movement on the bed... no noise in the house.. lie still for several minutes and you'll feel a slight tap-tap-tapping... like little tiny butterfly wings.... or tiny light gas bubbles... Once you feel it, you'll know.

Contrary to what you see in movies... it's not just a sudden elbow jab in the side... :)

With your first, probably later than if it's your 2nd or 3rd because you know what to look (or feel) for. With my first I had my ultrasound around 19 weeks and the baby was moving all over the place and I had no idea. 2nd one, a little sooner than that, probably around 15-16 weeks...this one, I'm sure I was feeling it around 12 weeks, but I could be crazy! I'm currently 21 weeks and feel her ALL THE TIME!!

First signs of fetal movement...feels like flutters or gas bubbles. Feels like bubbles popping inside your belly, usually down low, below the belly button. Hope that helps! Everyone is different!

You can feel the baby as early as 14 weeks, but the average is 16-22 weeks. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish baby from regular stomach movements. You will probably be able to feel the baby earlier if you are very slender or if this is not your first pregnancy.

Everyone is different. First pregnancies take longer. Mostly because you don't know what to expect. You shouldn't expect to feel movement until after your 4th month. Get yourself a great book called, What to expect when you're expecting. It will answer many of your pregnancy questions. And remember if you are ever concerned about anything call your Dr or midwife right away.

I think if it is your first baby, then at around 4 months. At first you will feel bubbles. Thats the baby moving around in the water. At around 5 months you will feel more definate movements, like a kick, or a jab. Its amazing!x

I'm 26 weeks pregnant (first time). I felt it around 19th week - for some time I wasn't quite sure whether that was it, but then around week 21 real kicking started :)

By the way, my grandma told me: 'When you feel it for the first time, you should know you are half way through your pregnancy'. This had worked for her and for my mum, but it's a kind of a superstition, you know - anyway, we'll see...
