I don't get paid what I'm worth - I'm a stay-at-home mom. My hours are 24/7. No sick days allowed. No breaks. No vacations. I have great benefits though - lots of hugs, kisses, & I love you's. That's what gets me through.

Well, at one of my jobs I'm probably paid just right. (Though benefits to cover my prescriptions would be a VERY welcome addition, LOL.)
At my other job, I'm paid more than anyone else I know who does this work, but everybody who does this work is undervalued and underpaid (caring for small children).
My third job doesn't fall into either category of being over or under paid......it's volunteer work that I actually PAY to do. Madness, isn't it? LOL

I love my job and I work hard, I work 40+ hours per week never take breaks, go to work everyday (no fake sick days) and spend personal time shopping for the patients, I work in the Activity department of a Psych unit, and because of the love of my job I guess I am ok with what I am payed. But it makes me feel good because the job I am doing is one that normally 2 people did and I have also started doing fund raisers that also brings in additional money to buy things for the patients, so I think they are in a Win Win situation with me. I LOVE MY JOB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If you just factored in what I do, I am overpaid. Never made this much money in my life for having a relatively no-stress job.
However, if you factor in that I have to deal with the most psycho-nut case boss you have EVER met in your life--I am grossly underpaid. You can't put a price on your self-esteem and that woman can suck the self-esteem right out of you.

are you ever worth what you get paid? I mean, how do you put a monetary value on something like skill and actions?

I'm definitely underpaid. I think the right question for me would be "are you paid what you're worth"
