The earliest I've ever seen anyone start to show was around 4 to 5 months. At eight weeks the fetus is about the size of a peanut.

Not by 8 weeks, no, not at all.
First timers usually show up later than women pregnant for the second time or more. Some start showing as early as 4 months (I didn't start showing till I was 7 months).
A seriously overweight woman might not look too much different, but I guess she'd feel her own belly to be harder, maybe? I don't know.

An overweight woman might not "show" by 8 weeks... but she might still be uncomfortable wearing clothing that's too restrictive. Those hormones mess with what's comfortable, how much space, air, and room we need just to feel okay... So, while loose clothing might not yet be a "belly" necessity... it might very well be necessary to the mom's piece of mind!!

by 8 weeks you shouldn't be showing although you probably feel like you are.I had to wear maternity clothes very early because I couldn't handle any pressure on my stomach. Every thing felt very constrictive.
It can be hard to tell if a overweight person is pregnant. The end of pregnancy is pretty obvious though.

Sometimes, but this is not baby yet. Showing this early is caused by bowel distention and/or bloating. I am of average weight and began "showing" this early, and ever since I have looked at least a month more pregnant than I am. I am now 5 months, I look 6 or 7 months. If you have had a child previously, your skin and muscles are more stretched out and you tend to show earlier. Celebrate your early pregnant shape, your growing a life!

for first babies, it could be well into the fifth month before you start to show. The more "padding" to your belly, the longer it will take to show.
However, due to "pre-trained" muscles, it is quite possible on later pregnancies to show much sooner.
Personally, I started showing just a tiny pudge at 3 months with my first pregnancy, but with my second pregnancy, I looked 4 months pregnant at 8 weeks. Muscles just relaxed sooner.

at 8 weeks the breasts start to swell.
This will be before the belly shows.
Even an over weight woman should be able to tell that her breasts have become fuller adn more tender to the touch.
