Hi,
I am due to travel to Egypt later this month. Unfortunately not getting any Egyptian Pounds frm here. Apparently, most ppl prefer to take US dollars and then convert in Egypt.
Any idea on what is the current rate in Egypt for 1 USD?
Does it make sense to change at the airport or does one get better deals with local banks/ agents?

Check http://www.xe.com for up-to-date exchange rates

I checked it for you now, 1 Dollar is worth 5.71027 EGP
You can change your money at the airport, at any bank or any exchange service. You'll find hundreds of them all over Egypt.

Have a safe trip :)
