I have never built a computer before and im doing a little bit of research I guess youd say. I heard it is supposed to be cheaper to use the stuff you have and just upgrade. I want to upgrade my motherboard. Somebody told me I need to get the right size motherboard for my case. My case says ATX on it, is that the company that makes my computers case? What is it if not?

ATX motherboards are limited to 9.6" x 12" max. It's the most common size of desktop motherboard. A micro ATX will also fit in an ATX case.

ATX. For most custom built systems, an ATX mid tower case and power supply is the recommended choice. This means that your case will take ATX motherboards.

ATX is a Case's Generation that turns the computer off automatically once you shut down the computer without pushing any buttons like before
