Pregnancy tests are pretty spot on if you show a positive. However if a negative result is shown it doesn't necessarily mean you aren't pregnant. I have known of people who have tested negative only to find out by blood test that yes indeed they are pregnant.

Sometimes you can get a test that is unreliable due to manufacturing. Most claim to be over 99% accurate. I have found that EPT will test negative when pregnant. Take three if you want, and take 2 out of three!!!

Extremely accurate if it is done correctly. I would not take it until you are are one day past your due date. Taking it earlier could give a false negative. Even if you are past your due date and it shows negative you may still be pregnant. Some womans HCG levels take longer to show up. So just wait a couple more days and try a test again. I know it's hard to wait!!

my doctor says that home pregnancy test are about 97% accurate if you use it correctly...and im pretty sure you can use one about 9 days after you have intercourse....but that's just what my doctor told me...if you want to know sooner you should go to a doctor and get a blood test.

My Dr told me they are very accurate, but to be sure, I would go to your Dr and have them do their own tests.
