as long as she is sober in class and doesn't share with the students, and its not a huge problem then its not that bad. But if it is something that you are concerned with then sit down and talk to her. That usually works.

Hi
Happy New Year !!!
It seems that you are very much concerned with your girl friend. Good. Anyone can drink - but one should not allow alcohol to control them. Since she is a teacher she must be brought to realise that she must be an example to her students. By overconsuming drinks this will definitely reflect on herself and she will loose the esteem of her students. The best advice I suppose is that she must realise herself in which gutter she is heading. The sooner she realise this the better - because if she has become dependant on alcohol, then ot is quite late and she should follow some disintox program. However she must not think that such program is made for others and not for herself. She must have confidence to get out from this problem. If she continues, she runs the risk of losing her best friend as well as her life.
Life is short - enjoy it wisely. Drugs, cigarettes, abuse of alcohol simply shortens life more and more. The grieved ones after having passed away will be our dear ones. Think about it - take a resolution at the beginning of the year - it will help you to realise how many days you are living without alcohol flowing in your blood.

Definately tell her to STOP! If her job is stressing her out, than she should find another more postive way of relaxing...and taking out her frustration...instead of drinking. drinking is NOT the answer. maybe you should tell her too call u up when she feels like getting a drink. and instead of her going to a bar, u guys can talk and she can let out some of that stress. or go somewhere with her.tell her if she is drinking that she isn't a very good influence to her students...she is the example, there teacher, not some drinker...and u should tell her nicely and polite, not violently and forsive b/c ur her friend. hope this helped..=] good luck with ur friend.

The problem is not her drinking, She has emotional problems that needs to be resolved. She needs a kind ear to listen and advise her. She must be opened about her emotions or she will regress to a pitiful state. Help her, Good Luck

that there isnt any sense in trying to teach to younger people if she cannot hold up to what she tells them (i.e. drugs and alcohol=bad)
that she is being a hypocrit and that students dont deserve to be taught by someone who is forced to teach and not want to make a difference in their lives by positive influence.
that her drinking wil soon catch up to her and she'll be missing out on what she enjoys most-teaching
put her in a scenario and pretend that a student caught her drunk down the street. ask her how she would explain herself to that student.

hey teaching is a stressful job...you try teaching and lets see how many vices you come up with.
if just drinking is the problem she doesn't need an aa sponsor i guess it depends on the severity if it is affecting her everyday life then yeah if she is just partying she might need some down time. voice your concerns and try to find alternatives.

That she needs to get a grip or she may lose her job, if she keep it up. It will keep getting worse..Tell her to try to get some help for a professional...This can happen in all walks of life...There is no shame in standing up and asking for help, that is the first step to freedom....

Tell her that she won't be such a good example to her students as far as her drinking habit is concerned.

I think you should tell her how you feel about her problem and be really honest about it.
