To break up with somebody because your both attracted to each other, and your in a great relationship. But their not allowed to marry you because its against their religion? and if you don't break up now, you have to do it later? does it make sense to predict that the future will be unreasonably unforgiving and horrible?

I don't understand. "...their (sic) not allowed to marry you..." Who is deciding for them?

"because its against their religion?" What kind of religion is that?

I would have to disagree. Unless you are both intolerant zealots, there is no reason why you can't have a good marriage even if you are of different religions. My wife is Buddhist and Shinto. I'm not. So what? We have a wonderful relationship and would never try to convert each other.

It doesn't make any more sense than not cutting your hair or always wearing long skirts, but some religions do.Guess you both have to evaluate your faith in comparison to your realtionship and make some tough choices. But, definately do it now. No use in waiting!

There is more to it than that. You two should seek out a counselor. There are underlying issues here.
