Brief background: Husband had an affair. Wife is a shop-a-holic and a has always been a bit obsessive compulsive. This has increased to full blown OCD since the affair. Five kids. One child is very special needs. Money problems have surfaced due to wife's shopping habits. Husband is always working. Couples and family counselling are underway. AHHHHHHHHHH!

Do these folks have any hope? Is there anything else that they can try to build their relationship again? Looking for solutions...

Wow! I think both parties will have to be willing to make it work. That is a lot of stress. Sometimes to much has been done and there is no getting it back. I don't know if will ever be the way that it was. If there is still love between the two of them. Then fight for it. If you question that then throw in the towel and cut your losses. Counseling, medication for OCD and lots of communication. Good luck. Something good always comes out of something that you see bad at the time.
