Willie Nelson's second wife, the late Shirley Collie Nelson, is known for sewing Willie up in a bed sheet and beating the hell outta him with a broom.
Don't mess with women from Missouri.
Most especially, from Springfield Missouri.
Willie also worked at Aunt Martha's Pancake house while he sang for the Ozark Mountain Jubilee (originally the Farmarama) located then in Fantastic Caverns.
The acoustics were FANTASTIC and home to many speakeasy's during prohibition.
Vigilante groups ~ locally known as the Baldknobbers and the Klu Klux Klan met/hide out in the enormous cave, which in just one room (larger than a football field) could easily hold 7,000+ people.

Yep. Back in the 1980s, he came home drunk and stoned one too many times and passed out. So while he was passed out, she sewed him into the bedsheets and hit him several times with a cast iron frying pan.
Needless to say, they divorced soon after.
