No, I dont think Greg Chappell should be sacked as Indian coach. It is purely a reluctance on behalf of the board/players/ex-players to accept the more proactive approach Greg takes. John Wright was seen as a good coach, but that was because he sat back and let the players do whatever they liked, and let the board walk all over him. They players got by on raw talent, which can only get you so far.

So what if Viru is being made to train?? GOOD!! He should be, he's a professional cricketer! He is quite visibly unfit, and is lucky to be playing international cricket still. Just imagine how good he could have been if there was discipline with him from the start.

As for Ganguly - who can argue with what has been done now?? He was dropped because he was not performing. he went back, and got his hunger back, and look at him now! He knows he has to take his chance, and I believe that is why he has done so well in South Africa. You watch - this 2nd part of his career will be more productive than the first.

Irfan Pathan - casualty of his ego. He came up so high so quickly, he thought he was made, and now, once people worked him out, he didnt know what to do, which has led to his downfall.

The problems in Indian cricket at the moment cannot be blamed on Greg Chappell alone. This just highlights another problem - too many people prepared to blame others bar themselves. The players, except perhaps Ganguly, Karthik and Sreesanth, need to look at themselves and acknowledge that they played poorly and really showed a lack of initiative to win the series.

List of great performance Of "Guru Greig"
1. Groupism in the team with the help of Kiron More
2. The Good All-rounder Irfan Pathan is now a Ranji Player -what a training
3.Demoralised the motivation level of Shewag- Yes, his training will help to convert a world beater batsman to a Ranji Player
4. The captain of India became a shadow of the coach.
5. Slowly destroying the motivation level of Harvajan Singh.
6. Idiotic decision to keep the players like Laxman, Ganguli, Kumble, Zahir out of the team.

So, it is the best time to show him the door.

greg chappel is not a "YES"--"YES" coach, and he will not be swayed by sentiments !!! the bad performance of any player is the players's own doing !!! don't blame the coach !!!
In history of indian cricket no coach had the guts to speak freely his opinions and put them in practice !! If he is so bad , then see the results of the new coach , when this contract is over !!

You remove him the day you find a better coach. All the coaches are at the receiving end, when the teams they are in charge of do not deliver the good. The coach is as good as the team is and the team is as good as the players are. It is unsport to find a scapegoat for the collective decline in standards.

Indian cricket team do need a strong and assertive personality as a coach. So even extension of his contract is fine with me.

I don't think Greg should be removed, because he is the only person in this world who truly understands the confusion prevailing in the team.
He wouldnt have created the problem unless he knew the solution. He is the coach afterall...
