Complete scams. They read to you from a very vague script and tell you all sorts of generically good things about yourself. Their main goal is to keep you on the line as long as possible. The operators are told to speak slowly and to do other "tricks" to keep the mark/caller (YOU!) on the line as long as they can.
"Miss Cleo"s bunch has been sued and you can search around the internet for the actual scripts that were used....

I think they are a total scam. Real phychic's are extremely rare. and don't need 900 #'s.

scams, for sure. I had a friend who worked for one about 7 years ago, the most important part of her job was to keep clients on the phone longer so they would spend more money.

suggest you be cynical and skeptical as I did a paper on psychics for Sociology class. the answers I received were not consistent in their replies and several answers could have been interpreted in different ways depending on the reader. then 10 years after the class I was still receiving ads from psychics I never heard of.

Though I have no proof that they are scams, I would definitely hesitate to use one. They are VERY expensive. You can find a psychic whom you can meet face-to-face, and who therefore is more accountable for whatever s/he tells you.

If they're psychic, why do they need a phone number? I'm pretty sure Robin Williams said that first.
