It depends on what causes your acne if it is caused by your face producing too much oil just clean your face with an acne scrub two or three times a day, But if it is caused by you face not producing enough oil only wash your face when you take a shower.

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer ten times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.
Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Wash your face twice a day with a acne soap, exfoliate gently to remove loose skin cells that can clog pores.
Change your pillowcase twice a week.
NEVER SLEEP IN MAKE-UP! If you should, change your pillowcase so you don't grind it into your clean skin the next night.
Drink lots of water. You will get a pimple now and then, thats life. If you can't get it under control a vitamin A cream may help, see a doctor.

You need to get your doctor to send you to a dermatologist. They can tell you whats casuing it and how to treat it. It may be that you're allergic to the soap or acne product you're using, or its too harsh and adding to the problem. I wouldn't mess around with home remedies until I talked with the specialist and asked them about these home treatments. You may also need an antibiotic for a few months to clear it up permanently. Good luck.

proactiv is good only if you have a lot of acne...because what it does is completely dry out your face...if your not suffering from a lot of acne then spend to money to get a good face wash, toner, and moisturizer!
