how do you turn the blue slot light on, on the Wii?

ok well i got a Wii for xmas and when i turn it on the blue light in the front flashes and thats it. I want to know how to turn it on so that it stays on and does not just flicker when i turn it on. Thnx

Connect to the internet with connect24. Go to the settings to set it up. You need wireless internet or the Nintendo wi-fi USB.
