Every face is gorgeous at some point in time to someone. Our world has trained us through the media to gauge our standards with false benchmarks that sells cosmetics, clothes and all the trappings of superficiality.
We have been brainwashed by advertising.
If you travel the world and watch the different faces of mankind, there will be beauty that will take your breath away, and it would be nowhere close to the faces in the magazine covers.

qwickly run to the mirror, now go very close to the mirror, look so intensely into the mirror that you see directly into your soul thru it's windows and see the real you , for it is the person inside that is either beautiful or ugly. yet time and time again too many superficial fools such as you only judge the superficial and the material. and you loose more than you will ever know. and sadly you may never realize your loss. i weep for you shallowness and ignorance of life. perhaps someday you will see the light !

According to some studies perfect symmetry is one of the chief criteria of beauty. Asymmetry is not necessarily genetic. It may arise from stresses in utero or even after birth. Since I have a lopsided face, I'm withholding judgment on this bit of pop science.

the view of beauty and ugliness is relative.. So it is just a level of prejudice you develop through ur understanding.... There is nothing like beauty and ugliness hardcoded in the genes... It is purely realtive... All the living beings are beautiful in their own sense... there is nothing like ugliness...

Of course. I have worked in hotels, where I saw a constant parade of families. Attractive parents had attractive children and unattractive parents had unattractive children. Also I spent a year and a half in Korea. I saw fat Koreans, Koreans with bad teeth, but I never saw an ugly Korean face. There is one section of Seoul that is only 95% Korean. They actually have foreigners. That is the only place in the country where you can see ugly faces.
