Invention = to bring something to the existance which is not exist before .

Discovery = to find someyhing which is exist , but not be found by us before.

An invention is an object, process, or technique which displays an element of novelty (a new creation)

A Discovery means to determine the existence, presence, or fact something which is already existing (uncovering some truth)

invention is a discovery that taken from previous discovery.
discovery it self is an original founder.

e.g. electricity is a discovery, and an electric lamp is an invention.
