I have read several editorials on the issue and most of them say the United States is doing a poor job altogether but I'm not sure I entirely agree.

I don't know if I can Rank our policy, but I feel that our country only see politics and world affairs in 4 or 8 year terms. We don't look at long term implications. One example is Afghanistan. After we supported the Afghanis and they drove the Soviets out, we just pulled out we didn't support them economically or with any humanitarian assistance. I hope that our government eventually will have the forsight in dealing with long term problems instead of finding quick patches that end up unraveling and biting us in the *** later on.

It depends on the policy, it either swings internationalist, then everybody screams we are interferring with another's sovereignty, OR it goes isolationist and everybody screams we are not doing enough to help the other nations.

So we can't stay completely out or go completely in. Regardless of what a country does, they just have to hope for the best. For example, Darfur. They are screaming that the U.S. isn't doing anything about the atrocities but as soon as we go in we will be accused of committing the atrocities.

america practices what was once called gunboat diplomacy. not really diplomacy at all. i think "a poor job" is an understatement. the currant administration practices brinksmanship to the point of excluding any diplomatic solution. this sort of policy has brought us to the verge of world war. it's insane; all the nukes in the world cannot protect you from your room mates, something these overbearing yale grads cannot seem to grasp.

Sorry mate but with the poeple in power in the US at the moment they only choose diplomacy when they know they would lose a war otherwise (for example North Korea) otherwise they don't know the meaning of the word.

For being forced to support one country, the united states has lost the goodwill of the world and has given birth to terrorism as we know it.

it is unfortunate that the people of the United States does not understand how the country has been hijacked by Israel.

Foreign policy is the same as neighbors.....
How do we treat them? as a source of money to manipulate, or a brother to help..... in times of need......
I think we are the evil rich neighbor that laughs at everyone for their poverty and believes themselves to be holier than thou because they go to a prideful church,,,,,,
we all secretly want something horrible to happen to them.... so they can remember that they are human too........
