It is always best to wait for some time, prepare wel and then join the best college rather than joining any college. Brand name matters a lot.

u have to do ur MBA in a good institute if u want to be placed with a decent salary in a good company. so u can choose the college according to ur standard and level of preparations. if u r confident in ur aptitudes, soft skillas and general awareness don't settle for anything less than the top B-schools like the IIMS which take the CAT score. u can go for the next level of B schools that take the XAT and SNAP tests like symbiosis and xavier institutes. If u think that u cannot aim so high go for MAT, ATMA, and CET tests and go for the regional colleges which are also good. If u r intersted in only getting a degree as MBA, then u can choose any college that gives the degree without any test qualification. Decide and wish u all the best.

Hi dimple..
Anyone would say that the best insitute is IIM A. But do keep in mind that for those 200 odd seats around 3 lakh persons write CAT.
A lot depends on yourself and your calibre. Decide where you stand. Improve upon yourself. Join some coaching insitute if money is no problem. I wudnt say they offer best coaching, atleast they make you more aware.
Write the MOCK tests conducted by those institutes. By then you will know about your standing. Then decide which colleges you can choose. Then go for it.
some Top colleges
All IIM's - sp jain - IIFT - MICA
some of top 20
welingkar - nmims - symbiosis - FMS - MDI
next rung
BIM, GIM, LIBA....
den the rest follow..
some of the exams you should prepare for
CAT , XAT, SNAP, NMAT, MAT, FMS, TISS, IRMA,
Actually there is a lot more to it. You got to put some real effort...
cheers

Indian Institute of Management, but only if you are a brilliant student. For other reputed institute also you need to have certain percentage of marks in Graduation to obtain the admission form. (For Calcutta University it is 50%).
You must check the affiliation of the Institute and reputation before taking admission because for MBA, the Institute carries most weightage.
