Most , healthy couples will conceive within 12 months, but that doesn't mean that's how long it takes on average.

The statistics I've seen for a healthy woman age 20-25 indicate that there is a 20-25 percent chance of conception each cycle and that it will take, on average, five cycles for a couple your age to conceive.

There are many variables to thsi question...are you both fertile, stress can decrease success, hormonal levels can be a figure, does the woman ovulate?, has she had any infections (sexual promiscuity and PID) does he wear witey tities or boxers which can affect the number of motile sperm...does he have situs inversus (or she) that may prevent the sperm form swimming or the fimbriae on the fallopian tubes from wafting the egg in for fertilisation...what is his sperm count? are her period regular so that you can plan 2 weeks in between periods for the most optimum time to conceive. do either of you smoke or drink alcohol or take and prescription drugs that could affect fertilioty...has the woman been on oral contraceptives in the past (or still on them)...
sorry to wander, but you need to know more info to answer this ? good

What exactly is normal? Every person is different. My ex and I were both not in the best health, and for my own medical reasons was told it would be very hard to ever have a child.. I got pregnant in 2 weeks. My sister and her husband both in perfect health have been trying for 6 months. There is no set answer to this question.

Someone your age I would say a 30% chance every cycle. Lots of factors play into conceiving a baby. 30% chance is the highest percentage of conceiving due to your young age.

You do understand that in case you employ secure practices there is an quite slender exchange the lady gets pregnant, maximum appropriate? while you're no longer waiting to have intercourse it quite is one factor, and that's a thoroughly good determination, yet you will possibly be waiting to have intercourse till now you're arranged to be a dad. you're no longer a loser and in case you have had girlfriends in the previous there's no reason you will no longer have others sooner or later, yet do no longer turn down intercourse purely considering the fact which you do no longer desire young ones yet.
