I think you are very pretty and have a beautiful figure! I would say you are more suited to catalogue and commercial modelling rather than catwalk because you don't have to be 5'9" to do catalogue or commercial.... I'm only 5'4" and I'm with 4 different agencies! Half the time they look at how you act around the camera and stuff as well and your beauty so all the best honey xxx

wow...if funny to read other peoples comments about height and junk! all that stuff doesn't really matter at all! if you want to be a runway model you have to be at least 5'7! but if you don't meet that requirement that doens't mean you can't model! you can do print ad ( like gap, covergirl, wedding magazines etc)...see in pictures you can appear to look tall when you not really at all! i was modeling for a major company for a couple of years! what you need to do find a photographer who specializes in "headshots"! you might want to try calling modeling agencies in your area for a recommendation of photographers! ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR MODELING AGENCY IS REAL AND NOT A SCAM! this is most important...so many companies scam girls left and right! if a company tells you....that you need to take modeling class for $1000 or tell you in order to be apart of your company you need to pay to sign the contract its a SCAM! you dooo NOOT need to pay a single penny to be in a modeling agency...the agencies that scam the most are barbizon and john robert power! VISIT WWW.SAG.ORG to see the nearest modeling agencies in your area... all good modeling agencies are usually SAG ELIGABLE (screen actor guild)! this site will give you a list of agencies with their address! when you get the address...u need to make like 60 copies of 8 x10 picture that you choose to send out! send your 8 x 10 picture to all the different agencies along with a resume of any kind of acting or modeling you have done...even if it was will your school or extra curricular activities...the more the better, also send a self addressed envelope and stamped envelope inside the package...that way they can send you a response back! good luck!

im am in modeling/acting
look if there are any agencies around you see if they have what you call an "open call" they have you say a small commercial
let me tell you-if you want to get in- you need to be enthusiastic (dont be shy)
and you have to smile alot
an have attitude
and be polite.
they might want you to do acting too but ya i say you should Go for it!!!!!!
good luck!!!!
(just look in the phone book for a talent angency or modeling agency)

models aren't shallow-anorexic and stupid.

only a few.

take some pictures of yourself modeling and send them in to a model agency or better yet send in for a modeling tryout on americas next top model or go online and search for some modeling careers.

First be honest....what kind of modeling do you want to do? What kind of modeling can you do? You take in to account height, weight (this does not mean you need to be super thin), your looks. If you research you will find different types of modeling...catalogues (for the girl next door, not too tall, not too thin), Fashion (Taller, Thinner, versatile appearance), Glamour (sexy...Carmen Electra...a little bit trashy), High Fashion/Runway ( Tall, Tall, Tall, Thinner, Versatile), Plus size (size 10+, attractive).
You must work HARD! and deal with Crabby people.
Then get pictures of you in natural mode...hair up, no make up, tank top, jeans, take snap shots.
Then get pictures taken....DO NOT pay through the roof when you are just starting out!!!!
Their are lots of budding photographers, willing to do TFP (time for prints), TFCD (Time for CD of images) to add to their portfolio....but again with any photographer....check them out, check out their portfolio, and go with someone.
And do not let them talk you into showing more skin then you want to (and for your first shoot, that doesn't need to be more then a shoulder ;) ) trust me they will try.
Once you have some different shots, by different photographers (remember you don't even have to pay them), go to walk ins at your local agencies....be very careful though...if you have what it takes you should not be dishing out huge wads of money....a little possibly. Just be careful.....

apparently these people have something against tall, skinny, gorgeous girls. but i started out at an 18 week modeling school and it was a blast. they teach you everything from how to do your hair and makeup, health and nutrition, self confidence, how to walk the runway, and some acting skills. at the end of the 18 weeks you sign with agents and start working :] check into some local modeling schools

Whatever you do, dont get sucked into "modeling schools". Many of them cost lots of money, and if an agent is interested in you, you should not have to pay them.

Have some headshots and body photos taken and mail to a few top agencies. That's the best way, imo.

Grow very tall and be very skinny, do coke and a few well known actors - watch your dreams come true.

most companies will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money, so do your studying
