is a 89-90 honda crx good to supe up?

It depends. What kind of racing do you want to do? If not for racing, don't bother; it's ugly, gets average gas milage by today's standards, weak engine, and old enough that repair parts will probably be a bit hard to find.
The low weight of ~2000lbs stock makes it a decent choice for a body to start, however, unless you plan on swapping in an H22 engine from a Prelude then modifying that motor, it just doesn't make enough power for drag racing. Suspension parts are easy enough to find that it probably wouldn't be that bad for SCCA Solo.

I would say wait till the 3rd generation crx's come out. Stock will be better than a 90 CRX suped up at probebly a little over the same price. Plus the car will be newer.

Yes. These cars are easy to modified because the engine so small. Well, you can replace engine (swapping engine is simple with the right tools). You'll go pretty fast with a 200hp engine in the crx because it’s so light. Have fun!

you could if you have a death wish. take it from me if you have to ask if its good to supe up, you havent been riding long enough to even try to hold it on the road. they run fast enough stock.
