Is the criminal background check done during or before the training? I will have to go to Chicago for training and I would hate to go and find out I did not pass the background check and be sent home. I have blemishes on my record (no felonies) but one accusation of felony but cleared by a jury 11 years ago...Im afraid I will not pass and all the effort to pass the interviews have been in vain...Thank you for helping me!

i would think that they would run the background check before involving you in training since that would be giving you access and information of the company which they would not want to give to someone who didn't pass a background check. good luck!

Assuming you're talking about a flight attendant or maintenance position, it shouldn't be a big deal, provided your offenses are not drug related or have security implications. While aviation union jobs like this can be pretty competitive, we're not talking about positions that require a particularly high caliber of individual. For flight crew positions, on the other hand, you'd probably have to be squeaky-clean.
