When your water breaks it is usually more liquid than that, but it could be a small leak. I would call your doctor and go in to be checked. There is a quick litmus paper test they can use to check. Also it's important that if labor does not start within 24 hours of your water breaking it is considered an emergency and you need to get to the hospital, infection could result.

Don't know how far along you are in your pregnancy but if you are close to your 40Th week or 3 weeks prior it is possible for your water to break.BUUUUUUUUTT You will know when it happens there is no stopping it and alot of times it is a large gush and you feel like you lost 200lbs and there is this total feeling of relief of pressure EVERY WHERE. Being wet or moist is a normal happening towards the end for a lot of reasons.
Pressure of the fetus on the vaginal area causes the natural lubricant to be discharged in a larger amount as well as more often, you can use a lite days, I had it bad and it is uncomfortable and REALLY ANNOYING I sympathize (be sure that you are not having any type of irritation from this, or a disturbing scent{if so tell you Obgyn}) It is always a factor of being perspiration, the temperature and air flow down there has been modifide more skin more heat and less air flow, HORMONE CHANGE (Oh don't us females just love these constant torturing changes ALLthrough our lives) YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Hope you are feeling good, have patience the best and the worst is yet to come.
Good Luck & Health and Happiness to you and your little one to come. It was the best thing I ever did in my life. REMEMBER TO ENJOY BABY BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS THEY ARE GROWN BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (Trust me I want to do it again differently and put my priorities in better perspectives) My little girl is 24 and out of the house I gave birth to her when I was 24. I am still waiting to grow up. LOL BEST OF LUCK & HAPPY NEW YEAR1

In later pregnancy it is normal to have heavier discharge and feel wet all the time, it could also be a slow leak of amniotic fluid. You also don't need contractions for your waters to break, with mine I had lots of contractions then a definite burst, my Mums was no warning and then a burst but some can just trickle. For peace of mind wouldn't it be better to get it checked? I know that sometimes we feel like the doctor would think we are silly but it's not the doctors life is it? Good Luck

put some of this fluid on a Glass slide and let it dry...if you then look at it under a microscope and it looks like a fern (ferning) then your water has broken...this is a characteristic of amniotic fluid...
the other way is to get some nitrazine paper...dab it onto the fluid and if it turns from yellow to blue, then wallah...
BUT SERIOUSLY...if you think that you water has broken and you have not had any contractions for two days, your youngun could be in peril and I would go to the Emergency Dept RIGHT NOW! Sure, it could be the bladder that has now shrunk to the size of a walnut that leaks all of the time, but why do you want to assume that and risk your child's life?
You do not mention what your gestational age is, nor how many pregnancies you have had, and that could also play a factor...but I would go and be wrong than stay home and be wronger!

Sometimes toward the end of your pregnancy, the heaviness of the uterus and pressure from the baby can cause you to leak a little urine without even knowing it! Does the fluid have any odor or color?
With my first baby, my water broke without my realizing it, I think when I used the bathroom; I didn't expect it as it was still early. So the very slow dampness I felt afterwards was amniotic fluid. If yours has broken, it's important you see the doc, as an infection can set in. Good luck!

I found in the later stage of my pregnancy that area does become very moist and wet sort of like the body is getting ready for a baby by becoming bigger and lubricated. And when my water broke I was at home by myself and you cant miss it, it was not like peeing, just a HUGE gush of water blood streaked allover my underwear and pants, and dripping. You cant miss it

well other than being wet, like you peed your self you can change yourself and your wet again that could be a sign.Or sometimes when you go to the loo and it just seems to keep trickling out with no stop for a while. But some peoples water can be leaking out for a few days ,its the type of thing id go to a gp for.

A runny discharge isn't uncommon, but I agree - if it's been two days, check with your doctor. It's possible for your water to be LEAKING without fully breaking (no gush). If that's the case, you should probably be in the hospital. See your doctor.

If it's been the last 2 days and it's your water, you need to get to the dr ASAP!!!! I don't know for sure, but it could be. I've heard that your water breaking could be a steady trickle or a pop and gush. Are you soaking your undies? It could just be urine or sweat, too. But I think you should get checked ASAP, just in case.

Best of luck to you!!
