it upsets me because people are always buggin my husband and i for help.and we always come through, but the rare time we ask for help its always that noone wants to help us, damm why are people like this. im so mad right now!!!

i really dont expect anything in return when i help people. in this case the only reason i asked these people for a favor is because my husband has a surgery tomorrow. i think thats a good enough reason to ask.but i hate to ask for help but when i really need it they say no.

I agree with you. I sometimes feel the same way. I can relate very well. I also don't ask for help from someone who has by choice, Given freely. One has to learn to be more selective about Who and How they help. Ask yourself, "Is it in my best interest to help this person?" "Am I willing to help them even if it may not be returned?"Please try to not be Angry. If you make the choice to help, then you must do it without expectations. Also "Don't let yourself be duped by someone with less than Honest intentions."

This is just how people are. They take and take and take-but they never give back. They are self centered and have yet to realize that giving and helping others is something that we all should do. If I were you, I'd talk to my husband and decide not to help out people unless they REALLY need it. I mean, you and your husband probably work hard for your money and work hard to pay the bills for the house, water and so on. And you guys definitely don't deserve people who are going to take from y'all and never give back somehow. Some people are poor and may not be able to give you money or something-but even being a good friend who's loving and trustworthy would be good enough.
I wish the people who selfish would see through their acts and realize that the world doesn't revolve around them.

I agree with you. There will always be selfish people who do nothing but take and never give, these people you need to get out of your life or ..... start to learn to say NO to them
I do (as i`m sure a lot of people do) things for people and never expect anything inreturn.
Try not to get mad as there not worth it, just say sorry i can`t do this, then walk away, you don`t have to explain your reasons, If you feel that you have to have a reason then make one up.
