Music television my A -s-s. All they play ALL day long are these damn dating shows and the Real World Road Rules Challenge. Who really cares about these low lives who having nothing better to do but compete in this wacky "challenges" every season and stir up a bunch of drama. I was so pissed to see that they were already playing some crappy dating show when I turned on the TV at 12:30 on New Years Eve. Where's the New Years celebration with MUSIC?!?!?!

mtv has sucked major for a while now theyre as bad as vh1 mtv is supposed to be about music and the people who make the music thats why its called m.t.v. Music Tele Vision

I remember back in the early to mid 1980's, when we used to call the local cable company and scream "I WANT MY MTV!!!" and hang up. Yes, we were middle schoolers and high school underclassmen but we wanted to see what we were missing out on. When it finally arrived, it was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen! Until then, folks in my area could only see music videos by watching either USA Network's "Night Flight" on Fri and Sat nights, TBS' "Night Trax" also on Fri and Sat nights, or NBC's "Friday Night Videos"
Fast forward 20 years, and MTV is NOTHING like it used to be! About the only music channel I watch anymore is VH1 Classic. It's not because I've gotten too old for MTV, it's because that's about the only channel left that has MUSIC on it!

I boycotted mtv 80 years ago lol i dont even kno what the new videos are! and if u watch trl or 106 and garbage they show like 30 secounds of the video and start a YAP FEST! so feel ya pain

Ughh I can't even begin to describe how much I hate MTV. All of my friends watch Laguna Beach and the Real World and those crappy shows they play and I can't stand them! They are so fake (the editing makes me wanna puke) but it makes me realize why we are spitting out a new generations of Paris Hiltons. I watched TRL with my friends for 5 minutes before I lost too many brain cells and had to turn it off for my health. It's not Music TV, its Crap.

the only first rate one is Vh1 classic whilst they play movies from the 80's or whilst they might play a action picture. ordinary Vh1 is frequently trash. MTV is carefully trash. they do no longer even play music movies. CMT isn't even that great bear in suggestions and that i bear in suggestions whilst it was the different factor, i won't be able to bear in suggestions what it grew to become into now. I consider lisa. candy sixteen is terrible. it incredibly is a instruct approximately spoiled brats who think of they desire a huge birthday events and the only reason all people shows up is with the help of the huge occasion.

MTV was only good for the first 10 years (maybe even less) yeah music television my butt!
MTV2 USED to be all videos as well, but I swear I stopped watching that station as soon as they started showing freakin' shows too.

I miss my MTV.
hee I remember sitting at the tv watching videos for hours when it first came out. They were fun back then.

I completely agree !!I think its crap too !!! The only part I liked about the New years thing is when MCR and AFI preformed ;-)
