I was cleaning out my guinea pig cage and behind it i saw little round brown egg looking things i looked up larva from termites to flys i found an image that looked exactly like the things behind my cage http://www.ent.iastate.edu/clinic/files/...
and it said they were soldier fly larva which ive never seen these flys in my house, yes we have a fly problem but only IN MY ROOM . I am a neat freak my room is always clean, theres no food in here nothing. WHY DO THEY COME TO MY ROOM. They larva wasnt moving they were hard and i think dead but i vaccumed them up.. Why are they in my room and how can i get rid of these flys? ive used fly sprays etc. they die but then their back within a week. HELP PLEASE.

I have no idea what a soldier fly is, or why you are getting flies at all, unless they are simply attracted to your guinea pig's food or waste.

An easy and inexpensive way to rid your room of flies is to put two bowls or cups of water in your room. In the first, add a bit of sugar and some dish soap. In the second, add a little vinegar and some dish soap. Make these permanent fixtures of your room - just rinse them out and change the water occasionally.

Most flies will be attracted to one or the other. The dish soap will kill them.
