No one really knows where sayings come from. But it might have something to do with how sharp Jewish people are business wise? Wherever it came from it's not a nice or polite thing to say and Jewish people might get offended.

No idea where exactly but it has to do with the belief that Jewish people are tight with there money. Another stupid saying from another stupid person.
