Is ERP development depends upon the platform, which it is developed ?

I am working as a ERP developer, with the own platform. I mean, its not SAP or ORACLE. Shall I get a job as an ERP developer in future, with only my ERP knowledge, but not the platform. Please answer.

It may help you but you still need to master the new ERP platform.
For SAP you should understand ABAP, J2EE and netweaver.

You can download netweaver from SAP to have a look at it.
