Only if the unexpected was expected in which case it was expected. That is, it wasn't unexpected. So it is impossible for the unexpected to be expected in the first place!

If you are expecting..why do you think its the unexpected.? But if your unexpected why are you expected to think other wise? So are you saying expect the unexpected? Expect who is knocking at the door if you are expecting them. IF you are asleep and someone is at the door knocking then I suppose its the unexpected ..RIGHT?

I guess you're trying to say:
when you're expecting the unexpected, the unexpected still happen anyway, from what you expected.
that's life.......so I never expect too much.

It makes expected unexpected if you take it too the extreme.

Saying like these requires balance if used.

yes it does, but you cannot expect the unexpected because it then would become expected and you would be unexpected what you did expect in the first place.
