If you mean Indians..I.E. the country of India.. In the 1850s they tried forceful uprisings against the British. They were defeated. In I think the 1920s through the 1940s they used Civil Disobedience under the guidance of Gandhi. The British finally gave up rule in 1947 but left a mess by dividing India and Pakistan into 2 countries.
If you mean Native American Indians.. The Europeans pretty much just made treaty's when they needed them, then broke them and took the land. Then by the late 1800s when they had killed most of the Indians. they gave those that were left the most barren left over land scattered all over North America.. Due to the emergence of casino's on the "Sovereign Indian lands" the descendants will now be buying America back. What goes around comes around.

We Natives would fight tooth and nail for our independence....but right now, protests are the civilized way to do things.
Don't talk about how we DID. We still are. :D It's an ongoing thing, and it isn't a thing of the past yet.
The government is still finding ways to take land away, andd we're trying to protest that.Taking away the land means taking away the freedom and independence!
We use everything as a weapon. Words are weapons as well. Sweet talking seems to work on the gullible. Language is a weapon too, like the Navajo Codetalkers demonstrated in WW2.
Snares, traps, bows/arrows, lances, axes, knives, guns....etc. were used, and brute strength.
The government used the pen as a weapon....it is mightier, but they used it to betray many of us.

bow's and arrow's, guns, horses, fire, knifes, axes. As you know they eventually lost but put up some good fights, they won a great battle against General Custard there was a cool movie about that war. Don't worry about these sensitive folks we all call them indians or I'm sorry american indians
