First, the Taliban would no longer exist, because the United States Army would turn the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan into a parking lot. A move like that on the part of the terrorists is pure suicide.

Second, the American public would be united even more than we all were on September 12, 2001. All the liberals would have to concede that the threat has been very real all along, and that President Bush was RIGHT! (Although I would expect mass suicides in the leadership of the Democratic party.)

Oh, and Caveman, were you dropped on your head as a child? That would certainly explain that little scenario you came up with.

Ridiculous conspiracy theories aside, the Taliban for the time being is not capable of such a thing. However, should a hardline Taliban-supported government come to power in Pakistan in the not-too-distant future, it is not *entirely* impossible.

With near certainty there will be military strikes against whatever country supported such a move by any "taliban" forces. However, in a great show of restraint we would keep those strikes non-nuclear (I mean we did intercept it, so it didn't actually do us any harm).

What if Bush grew wings and turned into a purple turkey? Both scenarios have an equal probability of happening.

the real threat is from bush himself i would not put it past him to have a nuke pop off here in the us prior to the next election in order to declare martial law and call the election off. in fact i almost expect it will happen just that way.....mark my words
